ABOUT ME
I am passionate about many things: my family, my work, the arts, making meaningful connections, and striving to challenge myself to learn new things. I feel fortunate that several of my passions have converged, allowing me to work on behalf of non-profits and artists in making their organizations and projects reach new levels of success.
Growing up outside of Washington, D.C., I studied ballet and read voraciously. Even then I understood that dedication and commitment were needed when pursuing your dreams. My hard work paid off as I received a full academic scholarship to attend Marymount Manhattan College in New York City where I majored in English.
After graduating with honors in 1998, I went on to work in publishing for close to a decade, first for the book division of The Jim Henson Company and then later as a publicist with Workman Publishing and Quirk Books.
I received my Masters Degree in Arts Administration from Drexel University in 2012. Since entering the arts sector, I have worked as the Communications Manager for BalletX, Company Manager for Pasión y Arte, and as a consultant for various arts organizations and artists.
I live just outside of Philadelphia with my husband and two young daughters.
